Bronze bushings (like the eccentric bushing) bear the extreme rotational friction and heavy crushing loads. They act as a sacrificial barrier to protect much more expensive components like the main shaft and socket. Low-quality bronze can overheat and seize the crusher, which is why we only supply premium-grade alloy bronze.
